Welcome to the John Dwyer Trad Weekend, New Ross's new annual festival of Irish traditional music, song, dance and oral tradition. Presented by Wexford Traditional Weekend CLG (WexTrad), the festival celebrates the legacy of the wonderful John Dwyer, fiddler and member of the great musical West Cork Dwyer family. For many years, New Ross was John's home, so please visit and immerse yourself in unforgettable recitals and street performances, enriching workshops, lively pub sessions and inspiring lectures. About the John Dwyer Trad Weekend
The John Dwyer Trad Weekend celebrates the wonderful legacy of music, teaching and composition left by John in the south east region of Ireland. He made his home in the historic port town of New Ross and here a celebratory weekend of Irish tradition follows on from the previous Féile John Dwyer, held so successfully in nearby Waterford for many years.
